The new whale watching season has started in Costa Ballena. the Humpback whales from the Northern Hemisphere are arriving to our warm and turquoise waters of the Ballena Marine National Park. This is one of the most marvelous wildlife phenomena in sea mammals migration and you can experience it from our property located in a hill overlooking the Marine Park.

December to April we have the visit of the amazing gentle mammals from Alaska and the Arctic. Costa Rica was named by National Geographic one of the Top 10 Wale Watching Hotspots in the world and Costa Ballena is the key are in Costa Rica for experiencing the spectacular journey of the Whales to give birth and train their calves for the journey back to the Arctic.
