Whale watching season is on!

The new whale watching season has started in Costa Ballena. the Humpback whales from the Northern Hemisphere are arriving to our warm and turquoise waters of the Ballena Marine National Park. This is one of the most marvelous wildlife phenomena in sea mammals migration and you can experience it from our property located in a hill overlooking the Marine Park.

Costa Rica was named by National Geographic one of the Top 10 Wale Watching Hotspots in the world and Costa Ballena is the key are in Costa Rica for experiencing the spectacular journey of the Whales to give birth and train their calves for the journey back to the Arctic. We offers daily whale watching tours during this season, that you can arrange at our front desk or while making your reservation to stay with us. The second season for whatching the gentle sea mammals is July to October when we have the Humpback whales from the Antarctic Peninsula.
